Starkey is using it's DNN (deep neural network) even more with it's latest hearing aid release October 2026 in UK. The Omega AI+ now comes with a new reportedly faster processor (it claims to be 2.7 faster than the DNN processor of other competitors) - G4 Gen AI Neuro processor and Quad DNN architecture. Starkey Omega AI+ hearing aids still have it's 51hrs of battery life and waterproof design.

Always-on Edge Mode.

Edge Mode automatically adapts to the best settings for the user. It is always on to deliver real-time optimisation of speech audibility and noise management. Automatic Edge mode is now available in wireless completely in the canal (CIC) and Invisible in the canal (IIC) hearing aids.

Always on Noise Reduction.

Now in non-wireless customs

DNN 360.

In quiet, omni directional microphones capture all sounds naturally. In noise with no speech, enhanced spatial awareness kicks in. Whilst omni is kept in low freq bands and directional in high frequency band for enhanced directionality.

Where classic hearing aids rely only on acoustic information as classifiers. DNN 360 hearing aids rely on acoustic information, sensor information and user intent information, selecting a greater breadth of information for it's adjustments. It uses a DNN compression system that determines when to activate fast compression for speech and when to maintain or preserve slow compression for sound quality.
