At Sonant Hearing Clinic, Rochester Chatham, Kent, We offer the option of a Full Hearing Test or a Comprehensive Hearing Test.
With both hearing tests we will always share the results with your GP if there is an outcome that requires onward referral. This is as part of our continuing duty to your hearing health. Please make sure to bring your prescription (if applicable) and GP details to the hearing assessment appointment.
This includes a thorough review of your:
Medical history
Otoscopy - Ear Examination
Air and bone conduction hearing test (with masking if applicable) via Pure Tone Audiometry.
Result of test will be shared with your GP
This includes a review of your
Medical history
Video otoscopy - Ear examination on a TV screen.
Air and bone conduction via pure tone audiometry (with masking if applicable)
Middle ear pressure (immitance) test or Tympanometry (middle ear pressure test)
Acoustic Reflex Testing (if medical history allows/no tinnitus/hyperacusis)
Speech Hearing Test
Hearing aid trial if results indicate.
Report of the hearing assessment will be shared with your GP
This includes a review of your:
Medical history
Video otoscopy,
Air and bone conduction pure tone audiometry, (with masking if applicable)
Middle ear pressure (immitance) test or Tympanometry (middle ear pressure test)
Speech hearing Test audiometry.
A lifestyle assessment
Uncomfortable loudness level test (ULL). (To ensure your aids stay within their limits and don't get too loud. ULL will not be performed for clients with tinnitus or hyperacusis.)
Hearing aid trial if results indicate.
Report of the hearing assessment will be shared with your GP
